Privacy policy

The short version: your images never leave your device. This page explains exactly what that means and what little data the site does handle.

Last updated: October 2026

Image files you convert

This website performs conversion entirely inside your browser. When you select HEIC files, they are read from your device’s memory, decoded by JavaScript running in the page, and assembled into a PDF that you download. Your image files are never transmitted to our servers — there is no upload endpoint, and no copy of your images is stored anywhere by this service.

Because processing is local, temporary data (decoded pixels and the generated PDF) lives only in your browser's memory. It is released when the conversion finishes, when you clear the list, or when you close or refresh the tab. The website sets no cookies and keeps no files between visits — the one local handoff it does use is described below.

How files move from the homepage to the converter

When you choose images on the homepage, they are handed to the converter page through your browser's own IndexedDB — a single-use local entry that is deleted the moment the converter reads it, and ignored altogether if it is older than 10 minutes. This handoff is what lets a selection survive the page change. It is stored only in your browser, on your device, and is never sent anywhere.

What we do collect

The site loads no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts, and sets no cookies. Technical logs from the web host (standard server logs such as IP address, user agent, and requested URL) may be retained for security and reliability purposes according to the host’s normal practice; these logs do not contain your image data, because image data is never sent to the server.

A first-party, privacy-oriented event hook exists in the code for measuring anonymous usage counts (for example, that a conversion completed). These events contain only the event name — never file contents, file names, sizes, dimensions, or any personal information — and nothing is transmitted unless the site owner explicitly configures a measurement provider.

Third parties

The page may be served with static assets (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, fonts) from our hosting provider. Those requests are technically similar to any page visit and carry standard request data. The conversion libraries themselves (libheif and pdf-lib) are bundled into the page and execute locally; they make no network requests with your data.

Children

The service is a general-audience utility and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Your rights and changes

Because we never receive your files, there is no personal data about your images for us to access, correct, or delete. If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date.
